I agree with this, people expecting £15m+ for a lad who has barely kicked a ball in men's football are probably going to be disappointed.

We got 10m for stewart who has barely kicked a ball since.\We got 15m for Clarke who has been a complete failure at Ipswich in PL.

He’s got 18 months left
His stock is five fold on last summer’s value given that he was tearing it up before his injury.

If we keep him and he returns to fitness and the same form there will be a bidding war in the summer.

So we absolutely should not entertain a sale now. Even with 12 months left in the summer we’ll get at least the same, if not more than we would get now (and it won’t derail our season).
 
At the end of the day it’s up to the boy and his advisors.
If we’re offering him an improved contract which also protects the club, with the proviso he could leave at say the end of next season if we’re still in the championship and he rejects that, then we’ve got no choice really but to sell him now or at the end of the season.
I mean how many games has he started? He needs to establish himself for us first before potentially going to the Premiership and occupying the bench.
I do believe he’s a great prospect and we should be doing everything we can to keep him.
 
When you look at Tommy's highlights on YouTube you don't get any bad ones , the kid is going to be a star , you don't sell your goals , give him a big pay rise and long contract
