Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

Hopefully we make the playoffs... just goes to show when you don't have a big enough squad with quality options you can't expect to compete for autos.
I think two dedicated players for each position with other options would normally be enough. We have two dedicated left wingers, now both injured. Do you want three for each position, a squad of 33?

We’ve got 2 quality players in each position. Just so happens both our quality players on the left are injured, that’s bad luck 🤷‍♂️
And one from the other wing, and two central midfielders just for starters. We’re flogging a young team to death because we never seem to be able to rotate due to a constant injury list. If all of our squad was available we would have strength in depth all over the pitch.

Weve got aabsolutely nee luck have we
None at all. Contrast that with our friends up the road, Isak went off with a knee injury the other week and Howe said he’ll probably be out for some time. He started 3 days later. We have had Watson, Mundle, Browne and Poveda walk off the pitch with what looks like tweaks and they’re out for months. Browne came back on as didn’t know his bleedin’ leg was broken.

First start he got I thought he wasn’t ready. I thought he was weak, greedy and his inexperience showed

But I appear to be wrong! He showed up well at Shef Utd, was class in the Stoke game and was good against Bristol until he picked up the knock.

Such a shame his run has been cut short for him and the team
He was excellent at Millwall until he ran out of steam the knars

Tbf, it's just rotten bad luck to have both your left wingers injured for months at the same time.

Any conspiracy theories on his injury kicking about? Or have we blamed anyone at the club yet? Could do with a laugh.
So far on facebook ive seen his socks, and shin pads blamed for the injury
Marvellous.

I think that’s bollocks to be fair

That depends on how you see the situation. We're floggin young players and its evident they are becoming tired as they are not used to championhsip football and the amount of games. it would also help to not sign injured players.

Awful luck for the lad, and the team. Just got to get his head down, wrestle for a space in the treatment room and work through it.

It's aways got to be months rather than just a week or two when it comes to our players.

I very much doubt it's a tear as he would not have been able to put weight on it.

Ankle ligament strain i can believe from a block tackle but not knee as well. Hopefully just 3 weeks
That’s just the sort of tackle that can strain medial knee ligaments. Not saying it did in Tommy’s case but I can say with authority from personal experience that it can!
