Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

He is extremely young so will have good games and bad games

I saw him written off by some posters after WBA

SAFC won’t have envisaged so much game time for the lad this soon I don’t think but needs must

It’s the positive aspect of Mundle’s injury that Watson is getting valuable experience in the first team

Some of our fans really need to start looking at the bigger picture rather than writing off an 18 year old lad who has been courted by several premier league clubs just because of one mediocre game.

If he plays without the shackles then fair enough. Plays inside his shell then bench is best for him. Defensively he needs to work harder and be stronger in the tackle. Got knocked off the ball quite a lot and positional awareness was poor. Running with the ball towards goal he's exciting. Wish he'd stop shooting from daft angles or when he's crowded out.

Unfortunately, with Mundle being injured, we don't have the option of bringing him on from the bench.
Pure horseshit

He was superb first half last night. It was a big challenge for him against one of the best sides in the league. The next challenge he’ll have is to replicate that performance against a side that sits behind the ball at the sol.

This lad has it , direct , can go on either foot
Raw but he has it
Got to keep him
An excellent game for him. When Mundle is fit it means the left side has a couple of options. I also think Luke on that side helped him out with some early balls and confidence.
Wish the right side had the same scenario.

He was outstanding......and had them terrified.....not a coincindence that when he was subbed it allowed them to push up more as the fear of him had gone

Played really well last night just needs to up his shooting, much like the rest of them tbf, but that'll come hopefully.

Wouldn't say anyone is writing him off. It's just that he's a raw talent that has been thrown in when really he should be getting last 20-25 minutes from the bench to grow in confidence.

Yeah thats also one area he has to improve is his off the ball work. So many times he lets the opposition full back ghost past him as a play is building up and hes ball watching.
