Just been informed that Tom Clish has sadly passed away. A great man and a true north east cricketing legend. RIP Tom, thanks for all of your help over the years

Sad news.
I remember as a young 'un in the late 70s following CLS and watching him captain Phili when they virtually owned the DSL title...what a side they had.

Looked a bit like Shack by the late 1980s with that mop of white hair, we all worshipped him at school.

Lovely bloke. I remember playing against him as a young cricketer and he offered loads of encouragement. He was an excellent captain who was highly respected by everyone. RIP Tommy
