Tom Cannon bid in - now signed for Sheff U.

What did we see in rusyn, mayenda and semedo to suggest they’ll ever make the premier league?

Some shit gets spouted in here like.

People have been absolutely brainwashed by this so called model.

Likely the same thing we saw in countless players that we got for extremely cheap, or free that we now see as good enough to make the step up - some that even signed in League One (Cirkin, Hume, Stewart, Clarke, Roberts etc.).

We have many players now (and that we've sold) that I saw nothing to suggest they'd be Premier League players even whilst they played for us, yet there's a general view from most that they are good enough; Clarke, Cirkin, Stewart to name a few.

There's not a single player anywhere in the world that's a guaranteed success, otherwise football management and signings would be easy. Some signings work out, some don't. Some have for us, some haven't. That's football. That's not 'shit that gets spouted in here', it's common sense.

They’ll frame it like Wilson was their choice all along blah blah blah.

Anyways, it’s that ridiculous to go to the end of another window without a no9 in, I believe they will get someone…surely, right?!
we say this every window, surely can’t go another one. They can and they probably will. They just won’t pay the going rate in either fees or wages. Although Isodor has played more games as a striker reports and the player himself favour the left wing. The club will paint it hes the number one striker choice but we all know that’s far from true.

can't see Leicester moving on the price now given our other two (known) striker options look dead in the water

either pay the money or we'll end up with some random 18 year old on loan come tomorrow. i know which is more likely

Then isidor scores 20 goals and goes elsewhere for more money in summer 2025 🤣

Why would we be after him when he would be the highest paid lad at the club even AFTER taking a huge pay drop?

Surely that's why we are trying for overseas lads? significantly lower wages.

Be amazed if this is happens unless his club subsidise it. Is he actually a form player? or a reserve?

I’m really concerned you’re right. I’ve thought it all along to be honest…

It’s blind hope now that we deliver a Cannon or someone of that class.

Strange thing is I can see them signing the two midfielders (loan from France and the Serb for decent money) - we seem to be allergic to signing an out and out forward, it’s totally bizzare.

It is worrying.

They have a certain standard of striker they want, fine, but they also have a value they think that striker is worth and they're wrong.

Simms went for more than we'd pay. We'd have mendy if we paid a little more. There's loads of others. We are undervaluing strikers

It isn't strikers command highest fees and wages

There allergic to wages and transfer fees

He’s not on as much as you think

Never understood why people reference these utter bullshit wages websites that actually state they use algorithms to guess at salaries.

Might as well just use reference the football manager database which I’m guessing is what these websites use.
Be on nearer 8k than 30k though

Just gone back and watched Isodor's Youtube video - on lots of the goals he is leading the line. How good he is, time will tell. But he has been brought in as someone who can play centre forward.

Mayenda is also on 2 in 3 for the season so far, he deserves to keep his place in the first team squad in that position.

Rusyn I really believe is poor, and will never make it at this level. If we bring in a CF before the deadline (I hope we do) it gives us 3 options with the two above and puts us in a strong position.

If we don't, we are still in a better position than we were last year with strikers. Although with no JC, so heavily reliant on Mundle / Isodor / Mayenda to deliver who are untested at this level.
