Tom Burwell

so because we've had an amazing season on the pitch, it means we have to swoon over every single person at the club?

i don't like him cos i think he's a bullshitter. i don't like the ticket office manager as he is awful at his job and has banned one of our most loyal fans.

i love the players, KLD, the coaches, RLB, even the social media team and who ever came up with 'till the end' and 'the visitors' crack, a bunch of legends in my eyes. i've done every away game this season and will be travelling all over europe next season, doesn't mean i can't criticise people when its appropriate
Is it appropriate to call him a bullshitter because he uses corporate speak on Linkedin?

You don't seem to like many people though. I recall you being anti-Speakman, went quiet when we were promoted though.

Why would you go out of your way to create a thread saying you don't like someone working for tbe club who's been in the job 5 minutes? It's true bizarre, bet you'd be all over him if you saw him face to face.

Negative for the sake of it, no reason as to why as well. Grow up.

Here we go.

Is it impersonal now?
The Speakman who was sacked? I rest my case.

I am not a particular fan of his looking from a 1st Team lens, I think the ones that came off were more often than not, home runs. There are exceptions though and despite my reservations about 09 and Hume, they are undoubtedly a monumental success story in their own right.

Speakman added much required professionalism throughout the club to the point where the foundations are rock solid and in such a place that the current incumbent can go on from there. I could pick many holes in his Erwin’s but he undoubtedly was a fabulous success here. Whether you, or me, like it. (Why would anyone not like it ffs)

Edit: no idea whether the Hume and 09 signings were in the Speakman era. Point stands either way.

Speakman and Harvey got some right but a lot wrong as well.

I think it's very hard for someone in the role Burwell occupies to be fully trusted by fans of a club. The way people in such roles tend to speak, arguably have to speak, doesn't resonate with fans.

Bruce, albeit in a slightly different role, had a lifetime of supporting Sunderland to fall back on, which immediately engenders a sense of trust.

Thinking more like enema.
We could become best mates

Good point

For me - I want a businessman as CEO. If he starts coaching - it’s at that point I may have a problem
