Daint gan through it then if you feel strongly about it. I don’t use it much but it’s the best way from Sunderland to the north side and back in my view.

I prefer the south bound tunnel - it’s less claustrophobic and better lit.
Should be £1.50 going north and £2 coming south.
Speed limit needs to be higher though. I’ve been through it on a bike at slightly over 40 mph before the second tunnel was built so the south bound tunnel could be a bit faster

Mersey tunnel is £2.....or if you live locally £1.40 using a specific scheme.

Absolutely right. I don't care if was expensive, its necessary. No less so than any road.
