To the "we're not ready for Europe" crowd

Risk is apart of the game isn't it, we got promoted we are doing well, lets look at it another way, lets say, we got to a cup final this season, which was possible, because it's possible for teams every year, FA CUP/League Cup etc, and say we qualified for europe via, that then we are in europe, no matter what, we would still come back to, well in the summer we need to strengthen for the premier league, and have players for european games, that's the same as now, we will have to make signings in the summer, no matter what, but the players we could sign with european football as well, can kick the club on, a level.

Which is why i don't think conference league is such a stretch to be honest, but we only get it with a good finish to the season, so what the lads do between now and may decides it all the same.

If Europe is there, you take it. No club outside the big 6 are ever “ready” for a European competition.

Back the recruitment team to use the transfer window to get the squad ready

Forest and palace are both pointed to as struggling because of it but people forget they had manager issues and people falling out with owners before this season even started

Palace aren't even struggling they're in a similar league position as they've been in for the last 10 years.

I trust the management.

Makes all the difference. Endlessly grateful for that alone. Everything else comes from that.
 
End of the day we won’t go bankrupt if we try and fail. Worst that could happen would be a season in Europe and relegation. Considering we haven’t played in Europe in my lifetime… I’d take that.
 
If Europe comes we take it and enjoy it. Without doubt it does have some negative sides as the extra games take their toll. Even things like playing so many league games on a Sunday might not be to everyone’s liking.

But the point of football is having success. And given how unlikely we are to win trophies domestically playing in Europe would be amazing.

In the old days we would say "The club should get someone in who knows what they're doing and put serious money into players who will actually enhance the team." We might as well have been saying they should fly to away games on magical winged horses. Now someone's actually done it, it still feels weird

I'm really not bothered about Europe next season. While it might be fun it would also be a big distraction from the league and we've seen what it has done to other teams with thin squads.
 
I always laugh at these threads, as if we have a choice.

The team is going to go for as many points as possible, relax and enjoy the ride.

What will be, will be.

These are exactly my thoughts.

Had a season ticket since 1992 and we've only had sniffs of Europe since then and that was about 25 years ago. I've seen us get promoted and relegated many times.

Like you say we may miss out on Europe and get relegated anyway.
