I believe he qualifies as homegrown in April.

Joined April 2023 and doesn't turn 21 till June 2026. So will have been here for 3 years which is the qualifying criteria.

As we may be losing the likes of Neil, Patto and Cirkin in the next 6 months.

Going to need homegrown players over age of 21 to replace them in the squad, hopefully he's a capable one.

Although he would still count as an U21 next season anyway. As anyone born after Jan 1 2005 counts as U21 next season

I can think of the likes of Brennan Johnson, Jack Grealish and Callum McGregor that have had good loans in League One. To then go onto to bigger and better things. So hopefully Timur is another one.
