Tickets (Playoffs H & A)

What, do you reckon that ‘all these people’ simply go to that one game? Not everyone has a season ticket and they pick and choose games that they can go to or can afford to. When these games come along, the majority of those people ensure that they’ll be there (some of them will be probably stretching their finances beyond what they can afford).

Sunderland’s fan base is superb. It’s amongst the very largest and best in the country and we’ve carried on going home and away in ridiculous numbers despite the garbage we’ve had to endure over the decades.
Point is though, like with away games if you’re not a regular attendee you can’t really moan if you miss out.

its not bullshit the club have safety to consider so have made the decision to max it out at 45300. so not every seat is taken so what the place will be heaving, its a shame all these people only come out for big games, if anybody thinks this is bullshit wait until the clamour for Wembley tickets, that will be carnage
Did you post this when we would get 47 or 48k in the prem considering we didn't have 40k+ season ticket holders?

Having a ST isn't as feasible as it used to be for myself. I've spent a third of my life as ST holder and will get to as many games as I am able or want to.

This may only be my third game of the season but I've watched the majority of our games since we got relegated into league one.

Didn't expect to get a wembley ticket for any of our visits in league one went to all that we could. Same as in 2014 as I was at uni at the time, got let down for club wembley on the day was gutting.

Well there’s 40,000 come out regularly.
Of the others not everyone can make the match every week.

I’d have 2 for this season and 2 for next 4 i. Total if it went that way

there’s plenty desperate for tickets this time round a know one lad who’s attending his second game this season his first was Hartlepool pre season
People like that will be moaning the loudest when they don't get one.

Could easily have 47000 plus……
They can segregate fans easily if they pay a little extra money

What pissed me off with Huddersfield is I fancied that Korean chicken at half time but they sold out and an only ended up with chips. 😢
This, and anybody who has a Westie as an avatar gets to sit on the bench
Don’t forget Marv and Harry

No. Didn’t dispute that. Purchasing a season ticket gives you extra privileges and that’s fair enough. I was only taking issue with the insinuation that Sunderland has supporters who only show up once a season. It’s simply not true. We average just 40k this season and have 32k ish season ticket holders. That’s means there there 5-6k people buying tickets on a match by match basis. The overwhelming majority of attendees on Saturday will have been to games this season already as opposed to just turning up for this one.
