I've just purchased two tickets for each of the following T20 WC games:

England v India
3 x Super8 games
2 x semi finals
Final

All in, the total cost came to $17. :shock: :lol:

That's class. They were charging 1,000 LKR/ £5 for one side of The Fort today. I reckon they'll charge for the lot next time and the England support will be reduced to couples on organised tours (which is basically what inside the ground was this time).

They charged for sitting on the Fort? :shock: Bad craic that. Killing the goose that laid the golden egg.

I read a post on the BA forum yesterday that the crowd was segregated. Is this true? Disturbing if true.

One side of it. Didn't get organised in time to do the other one. They will be next time I bet.

They sussed that loads slipped in the ground for nowt on day 1 and put up corrugated iron fences for the rest of the test segregating parts of the ground off. That meant the Sri Lankans had a grass bank and they walked in for free (anyone white was slung out). That appeased the local media who had been going mental about the ticket prices.
