Mighty Washy v Felling
Rainton at home and away to Belmont.
Tantobie have conceded to Kimblesworth due to a lack of players. Meeting being held this week.
I worry for Division 2 of the NEDCL. It's looking very fragile.
Tantobie are struggling for players and we played a team from Beamish who only had 8 players last year.
As a 2nd teamer myself it makes it all the more important that we (Hunwick) stay up this season.
No disrespect to the NEDCL but as a club who can regularly turn out 11 in the 2nd XI, we obviously want to be playing teams who can do so regularly too. I think only Kimblesworth, Burnhope, Simonside and Kibblesworth can do that.
That's where I'll beHad hoped to play my first game of the season tomorrow - but we've got no game
Looking forward to watching a bit cricket though, firsts are at Castle Eden.
That's where I'll be
First time we've really dug in So farCracking game of cricket at the Eden today.
Brandon 240-9dec
Castle Eden 209-9 (60 overs)
Brandon winning draw.
Was talking to a couple of the Castle Eden lads, say their first aim is to stay up - personally feel they'll achieve that quite easily. Honestly expect them to be top half come September.
Yes mate just one team. Fingers crossed for them, one of my favourite little clubs too. That does not sound great re Tantobie. Do they only have one team now?
They looked in poor shape when I saw them at nets at The Riverside, only had 4 or 5 there. A few years ago they had 2 teams and it was like Sabina Park up there, David Brown sailing them past the snot box at 80mph.Yes mate just one team. Rainton firsts lost to Belmont. Seconds beat Belmont 2s by one wicket in the last over. Both kitchings at the crease too. The second team game was played in brilliant spirit.

Spenny 1sts tied at home to Cockerton 1sts in a 'thriller' at the Spennydome. 2nds lost at C Division title favourites Oxbridge by 91 runs, too many dropped catches, Ageing All-Rounder 19 runs, 2 wickets and a catch (and aching legs)!
