This new bridge

Just been on Look North and they reckon 24,000 vehicles a day are going to use it
Are they planning on shutting down the a19?

16 cars on the bridge at any one time? Obviously not during the night, but far from unreasonable during the day.

This relates directly to questions on the other thread about why the bridge is needed. It’s all about flow in networks and capacity. As the traffic volume increases over time, then the network needs to have capacity or it all grinds to a halt.

It’s plausible the bridge doesn’t see 24,000 cars a day in year one, but the planners have done their job and in the fullness of time it will.

I just can't see it with the other bridges in place.
