He costs us the first goal vs Man City, just another myth that he has learnt from his mistakes.
He has his faults and is not a top, top player (otherwise one of the top four would have had him by now), but he is solid and has really good games and very few poor ones. We look pretty weak when he is not playing. I think he has (finally) sorted out his discipline and I think Gus has his name down first on the team sheet

I think you have sadly missed the point soggy named poster.

In your opinion fella, my opinion is that your attempt at slandering one of our better players has failed, you are just the same as the referees who give yellow cards out to him, when they clearly weren't deserved. Unfortunately his reputation precedes him, but put that to one side and there is a very good player standing tall and proud to wear the red and white stripes. Your name is truly awesome btw, I guess you got lucky that helmetfeatures2014 was already taken and you had to come up with something else ;)

Fuck ups or no fuck ups, we'll need both over the course of the season. That's what having a squad is all about these days.

I'll just get on with supporting the lads and hope they do their best for us if it's alright with you marra.

LEE! LEE! LEE! CATTERMOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!!! CATTERMOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!!! CATTERMOOHLLLLLLOLLLLLLLLLLOLLLLLLLOLLLLLLLLLLLE!!!!!!
The plural of fuck up is actually fucks up, for future reference.

26 years old and never kicked a ball outside the top flight, and captained every team he's ever played for. I'm sure players get 'found out' during their 9th consecutive top flight season like.

Funny that considering he went to Wigan because he couldn't get a game for Boro, hardly captain fantastic. Also was played out of position, so he wasn't exactly rated at Boro.

Then granted he did well at Wigan which got Bruce to bring him here. Had a good start, the has faded badly in a side that's flirted with Relegation since Bruce left.

If you want to compare him with players being premiership class due to length of time I raise you Andy Wilkinson of Stoke god awful footballer with 160 premier league games experience.

Cattermole has shown himself to be a good footballer time and time again. You have an agenda.

He hasn't played 160 PL games like, not at all. Also how many has he actually started?

cattermole is inconsistant, injury prone and a red card risk

can look like a world beater one week and the bastard love child of Richard Dunne and Kevin Muscat the next

The fact he actually cares is a massive plus in his favour.

Remember his reaction jumping from the bench at Cardiff?

He's a legend and hopefully be here for a long long time!

Cattermole was Boro's youngest captain in the entire history of the club, he also played 91 games for them by the age of 21 - impressive considering he 'couldn't get a game'. He then went to Wigan, captained them at 22, had a very strong season alongside Palacios and came here for 6m, where once again he was made captain within 12 months. He's 26, and played 250 matches ALL at Premier League clubs. He has also captained England at EVERY youth level from U16 upwards.

In addition, Ive watched him with my own eyes every week for the last 4 years, and despite making several high profile errors and getting needless red cards from time to time, I'd still make him captain, and he'd be the absolute 1st name on my teamsheet - which says it all. He is very influential and difficult to replace, and we have tried a couple of times.
