This love in with Cattermole

Sure he led us away from relegation, played a heroes part and began to show the form everyone knew he had but rarely maintained.
But the current fashion of PF posters for cat worship is no more than an embarrassing adolescent crush. You know you will all regret it and even deny it before ten matches are played this season.
He has proven too often how easily he can let us down in those bread and butter matches. I would compare him to a reformed alcoholic. I would trust him no more than one day at a time. When he screws up we will need Bridcutt and be sure, if Catts screws up more than once Gus will not tolerate it, he will be off to Hull in January.
Spot on, though the Catts lovers will kick off and stamp and cry.

Well it isn't, is it? It means people can't see past that, because if they could, they'd realise how good he is and how much better we are with him.
But seeing past it is ignoring it therefore being blind to it, or as we doctors say 'being in denial'.

I'LL PROFESSIONAL FOUL YOU IN THE STREET, NUNZIE!!!!

People saying he's a good player is just ridiculous. He's one of the poorest for ability I've seen play for us.

Can't believe how many chances he's had. He'll screw up again next season.

Started last season without a squad number and forced to train with the kids.

Instead of taking a hissy fit when Bridcutt was signed he showed that he was prepared to fight for his place - and kept him out of the team on merit.

Then towards the end of the season showed he can play in Poyet's system brilliantly. First name on the team sheet for me.

Totally agree with the OP - This thread will not go down well on here as Cattermole is not allowed criticism on this board unfortunately, he should be playing for England you know? Some on here even suggesting he is better than Steven Gerrard :D

Cattermole played a monumental part in the end of the season but has made too many errors to be relied on too much. I'm still not 100% convinced by Cattermole, when he is chasing the ball from the opposition I don't think there's too many players in the league better at him for hassling and making great interceptions...The problem for me is when he actually has control of the ball - Which is slightly worrying for a professional footballer, my heart is always in my mouth. Hopefully he proves me wrong and pulls his shorts up (Pun intended :D) because he's form towards the end of last season really was top notch.

He was the most inconsistent player we had all season.. His performance against Southampton in the league was f***ing disgusting tbh

He's liked presumably because he gives 100% then backs it up with talent, when he has the bit between his teeth he's unstoppable IMO, west brom at home he was magnificent and got a standing ovation from EVERYONE

Deservedly. Whereas Aston Villa at home ...

He can be very good. He can very bad.
