Lot of out of date information here.

It is owned by Copenhagen airport, the local authorities of which Sunderland were the largest % holders, sold it.

There was an airport in Sunderland, there has never been one in Newcastle.

The international airport North of Newcastle bears it's name, quite logically, but fans of NUFC who live in Newcastle no more 'have an aiport of their own' than fans of SAFC who live in Sunderland
Erm I think your info is out of date mate, Copenhagen airport sold their stake in 2011 or 2012 to AMP Capital. The 51% local authority ownership still remains.

As I mentioned earlier Sunderland council has the majority ownership.

I remember a fat geordie confronting a lad in a Sunderland top at the airport. He was waiting for his luggage at the time and the greasy skunk told him to get the fuck out of the airport as Mackems shouldn't be allowed to use it. The lad was quite slight and actually looked a bit timid but out of no where he nutted this lad, knocking him out on the conveyor belt. Everyone just watched in awe as this fat twat was dragged along the conveyor belt with both legs hanging off it. By his second pass he still hadn't come around and no one had gone to seek help. I got my luggage after that so never found out what happened to him, he might still be on there now.
Think you made that up like

I know a few mags going back to my student days, all relatively level-headed lads until it gets to having a bit crack on about the derby. There is just something about them that makes it impossible for them to separate Sunderland the football club with Sunderland the city, it's really quite bizarre. It's not just these lads either, almost every Newcastle fan I've met has been exactly the same "sunderlands a shithole man/wheres ye airport/wer tha best night out in europe" etc etc etc.

We don't bang on about having an airport all I ever see or hear about it is on here or from Sunderland fans. let's get one thing straight it is a North East airport used by all of the North East folk not just divided football fans it just so happens to be in Newcastle (yes wools ingrown has an NE postcode). No big deal at all

Do you think Chelsea fans bang on about Heathrow the same way because it's closer to them than Arsenal or West Ham it's truly childish shit

This didn't happen

Yes it did.

I have to spend 8 hours a day with the tedious little arse trumpet man, he's the epitome of the 'mackem' obsessed delusionary Ryder fanboy.

I've got plenty more tales for when the correct situations arise.

I'm always surprised at the scepticism over the mag at work carry on mind, surely a huge majority of us work in organisations that also employ our black and white brethren. This might be a bit hard to understand if you work largely by yourself doing something like say a heroic cyclist saving van driver or something ;)
:lol::lol::lol:
I work, have worked and played football and cricket with plenty mags and I've come across none who fit the SMB stereotype of what one is mind.
You sure you aren't embellishing things just a little? ;)

To be fair this did happen and I know he doesn't like it to be known but the sunderland fan who flattened him was @Plank. He's not a slight lad anymore either. Been hitting gym and got a right rig on him. One of big hitters in this region now.

Incorrect. Woolsington (where the airport is) is in Newcastle. It is not in
Ponteland as is often claimed on here. The boundary of Tyne & Wear and Northumberland is just after the airport where Ponteland starts.

All very good if "Tyne & Wear" and "Newcastle" were the same thing, it's all perception I suppose, but expanding the boundaries of a local authority ever outwards is a council thing, it doesn't magically move places in and out of where they are. Woolsington was a place North of Newcastle, a committee bringing it in to encompass an airport is purely for their own political ends.

Equally Washington may be part of "City of Sunderland" for Council purposes, but neither it nor Penshaw are part of "Sunderland" the place and never can be. IMO.

This one does, he's beyond the stereotype.

Embellishment? I'll downgrade to good Samaritan, I think that was the description I saw ;)

you know it pal, anyone fucks with me or my mates theyll get lamped out no questions, you down the coms tomorrow for a pint ?

Not quite up to date but as of 2012...

The biggest council shareholder, Sunderland, was to receive around £14.4m followed by Newcastle £13.7m, Northumberland £12m, Durham County £11.2m, Gateshead £10.4m, North Tyneside £9.6m and South Tyneside £8m.

Therefore we must have the highest stage in Wolsingham airpot.
