Sky Sports showed a forecast saying only 10% of rain on days 1 and 4 and nowt the rest of the time
LOvely and sunny here forecast for sun till middle of next week. It has only rained 2 days in the last three months both during the last test.

Can't see bowling first making much difference. Looks like this pitch is only gonna get flatter over the next 5 days

Thinking exactly the same thing, looks a woeful Test pitch.

And a woeful test arena. Pitch is comically small (a 53 metre 6 for fuck sake), and the stadium is far too big for tests in New Zealand and has killed the good atmospheres from the previous two games.

yep, always has been a pointless test venue. i think they even used to have the pitch at a 45 deg angle to the stands prior to the last redevelopment....?

can't believe both captains reckon they would have bowled...

This is one of those days where analysing stats means bod all, look at the pitch, look at the sky and bat.

This makes Indian pitches look like a green top on an April afternoon in Durham.
