My lad's band, Far Pacific, played at Think Tank, Sunderland (above the Peacock/Derry) on Thursday. What a great new venue. Some great gigs coming up - the legendary Dictators and Hugh Cornwell. Come on Sunderland, lets support live music in our city.

How much is ridiculously expensive mate? It's about 4 quid a pint for Moretti in the bar downstairs in the Peacock.

I get that mate. Don't go in TBH. Went in when it opened. Had a pint of Jakehead for 5.50 or something. Even the moretti was 4.50 or close too. Just seemed overpriced.

Dictators are playing 10th November and Hugh Cornwell 31st October. No idea what the price of the beer was cos I was driving - had to take my son's gear home. The price of the wine seemed OK for my wife. My point is that there is a great new venue in Sunderland that is getting on some really interesting acts - I hope that Sunderland supports this venue rather than just whining about the price of the beer.
