Depending whether we beat rovers again, pompey v the lads in the final could be the EFL trophy final record attendance. 80,841 in 1988 (wolves v burnley) and new wembley record was 74,434 in 2017 (coventry v oxford). No neutral section for this final and yad like to think both clubs would get an equal split. Before anyone says, I know we've not made it there yet.

I was at the Wolves v Burnley game. Long story. Think Wolves won it 2-0 if I remember it.

Pompey only took 400 to the semi final so they're not thinking much of it, a weekend at Wembley is different though.

Even split? Dunno if Pompey would sell 40k plus mind.
The Pompey v Cardiff cup final in ‘08 had the record attendance for a game at the new Wembley. So it’s not entirely impossible they could sell a big allocation, although, I still think it’s very, very unlikely.

They only got 25k tickets for the FA Cup final, as did Cardiff.

not far for them to travel tho and they'd be optimistic of winning after their 3-1 home win

Bizarrely I've seen 2 season ticket holders saying they're not going, and 3 people who've never even been to Fratton Park this season afaik said they are.

Doesn't it have to be an even split, for segregation?

Different rules regarding fans & allocation fir FA cup final compared to the other finals played at Wembley

If they don't sell all their tickets then I'd expect Sunderland all over their end if its against us. I honestly don't know any Sunderland fan not planning to go. And loads of people who don't normally go will go for the session.

Fuck pompey if they are boring enough to have a big weekend in London. Sound like a bunch of wet wipes. Sure I remember watching when they won the FA cup and their fans were hardly celebrating when they won

Most clubs treat this competition with a great deal of contempt. A day out at Wembley is fun and as Coventry found showed last year as a novelty lots of fans can turn up.

But the stadium itself isn’t really that good when half empty, there is no glory to be had from winning and in general it is just an expensive day out. Not sure how Portsmouth and the other remaining teams feel about it.

Enjoy it if you like though especially if you are going to the semi final.
