The trouble at the protest.....

Bit weird this thread. I went, I told them to get out the club, and so too did a few other people.

There weren't that many, tbf, but Rome wasn't built in a day. I'm going to keep the pressure on Short because I think it's the right thing to do. I don't think he cares about SAFC any more and is vastly more interested in recouping as much money as possible rather than our well-being. If other people want to join me they can. If they don't want to join me and would rather walk out and go home, go to the pub or whatever then that's their choice.

I genuinely don't understand why people are taking the piss about this - I did what I said I would and hopefully next time there'll be twice as many people, and the time after that twice as many as that.

We are heading in only one direction at the moment and something needs to happen.

4 of you then.......theyll need a detail sending out to police you....all.

At least they are voicing their opinions, and trying to get their voices heard. It'll take the ground getting sold off, before anyone will actually feel like having any protests against the owner/lender.
It'll be far too late by then though

What form did your protest take?

As you know we rarely agree :), but as I've said elsewhere I completely understand why people are wanting to voice their concerns, and would never take the piss out of those choosing to do so.
Some however (not you) are criticising those who wouldn't protest, suggesting it's because they don't care enough which I have to say is annoying me a tadge.

I'm sure that's close to the top of next week's agenda for Short.

Item number 1 ..... this pressure being applied on me by Haway ...... any comments?

People can do what they like IMO.

Personally I find it frustrating that people don't want to protest for fear of looking like the mags or whatever - because it's such a small minded argument - but at the end of the day people can do what they want.

It's nothing to do with looking like the Mags for me, which is why I have no problem people choosing to do it. it's just not my thing. But it doesn't mean I care any less or am pissed off any less

Yes I agree. It is each to their own and everyone reacts differently/ has different opinions about what to do. That's fine with me.

Rule number 1 of organising any protest is to avoid insulting people, laughing at them or calling them apathetic or whatever.

You've totally failed in every respect.

You'll never get people to join any cause if they don't respect you ...... you've no chance.

Why not just stop going ? I have tkts for the remaining home games but am not going. My seats will be empty.
I can't think of any other way to protest.
I am not prepared to put myself out for this lot anymore.
We have to accept that the majority of our team are useless. We are going down because we are useless.
I do not know who is to blame. I suspect it is Short but he has been badly advised. I don't like Moyes, don't think he can take us back up, I dislike Bracewell it's time he fecked off.
I just think our club think they can do what they want on and off the pitch and we will still turn up.
I am not turning up till there are changes. I realise my protest is hopeless unless many others do the same so I am asking you to do the same, stay away.

Certain posters who say we don't care as much or are part of the problem, are also the type of fan who laugh and find it funny when we concede a goal. I know who I would say cares more out of those 2 type of fan.

There was a load of empty seats in u37 today, which is sold out to season card holders.
