The Tottenham conspiracy

They have lost their head a bit. I have a mate who's a Spurs season ticket holder, mid-40's, degree educated, professional qualification, has a good job in a senior role. Usually a highly rational bloke. I asked about the conspiracy theory and his reply was:

"I do think there is an agenda. The PL want Arsenal to win the league as its better for their product not to have City win it again and its a good story for them. They want a a big team to go down too (us) as it helps make the end of the season more exciting with better viewing figures. Its mainly our own fault that we're down there but we have got no decisions at all, we haven't had a pen all season and there's several questionable red cards."

Correct.
Overall, I thought the referee was biased towards us throughout the 90 minutes - for once ...
That ref loves himself, he’s had a few stinkers while reffing us but he was canny Sunday.
Getting a bit personal here mind, very strange.
I’m getting personal? Maybe take a look at what you posted, proper small man’s syndrome. Don’t worry, the big lads will be along shortly to help you out 🤡🤡

You seem a very pleasant chap. Enjoy your day x

I'd have thought personally that the premier league would want a team like spurs in it at all costs. Would they rather people tuned in to watch a huge new stadium with a worldwide fanbase that's gonna attract more money for them? I think so.

Exactly, it's an absolute nonsense

That's basically what i told him. More fans = more Sky subscriptions and bigger global audience.

Another one goes, the thing is you know me, you’ve had pints with me. Get of that little rocking horse.
So why the comments like little man and clown? I've said nowt to you? It's canny bizarre
Edit:- not many pints id imagine..I'm an absolutely fanny on the drink 🤦

Show him that stat about Xhaka and their entire midfield , that shows why they are doing down

spent a lot of money on not much...never replaced Son or Kane, relying on a defence that isn't great...it's not hard to work out.

It seems he has the intelligence but is lacking common sense. Football impacts people in strange ways.

Did you not say I liked the big’uns and I had a fetish? Even more bizarre!
Just a joke as I don't know you from Adam on here, so nowt personal about it. Clearly

Nottingham Forest have Burnley at home this weekend, it could be a glorious watch. I love the fact that only a couple years ago Spurs were one of the teams actively pushing for a European Super League, if they go down it would be fitting for a team trying to pull up the ladder behind them.

Let's hope if it does happen that they have some relegation clauses in their player contracts as the financial implications could be frightening. 🙏

Agreed, last season should have been a wake up call but they just continued on the same path. As you said, they've spent a lot on average players.

No mate, the PL have somehow filled their team with usesless bottlers on the pitch and keep maiking them appoint managers who are really pap
