The third seamer spot

are we any closer to filling it? Because the selectors seem to have no idea when Woakes isn’t around

Wood
Ball
Curran
Curran
TRJ (may have been him without injury but would he really do it abroad)
Overton
Finn

And now Porter

Absolutely clueless. When Anderson and Broad go, we have no experience at all

We can't seem to keep anyone fit for more than 5 minutes, it's killed most of the promising quicks in the last few years.

I'm pretty confident the ECB will bring themselves in line with ICC rules and cut the residency period from 7 to 4 years, meaning Jofra Archer will be available next summer.

Not sure it's about clueless it's not taking opportunities finn is very hit or miss Wood can't play a run of games and is overrated, Sam current good prospect probably plays when stokes doesn't, porter desires his call up but not sure he has the tools to be an international.

Such as shame about Toblerone-Jones. I'd forgotten about him.

I think it’s quite worrying actually, in fact, very worrying, Anderson and Broad are on their way out and we’ve got nobody who can take over their mantle, nevermind the third seamer spot.
Yep. It wouldn’t be a shock to see them both retire after the Ashes.

And what do we have? Woakes is good enough in England. But that’s it. Nothing else remotely proven

I don't think they both should. I know we tend to think of them as a pair but Broad is younger and has more years left. ….. form permitting.

I agree that Jimmy and Broad will go after the Ashes, probably Chef too.

Been in the Comm box lately and probably has other irons in the fire too outside of the game
