Same here, thought The Vvitch was great but thought The Lighthouse was horrendous so a tricky one.Still yet to see this but heads mixed reviews
I was pining for it to end. You are right. Kidman was atrocious. What was she doing. All about opions but I thought it was long and tedious, little twist to the movie but thought kidman was awful...all of us were glad when credits come up.. agree with score and the locations and was brutal
Bloody hell, this thread is hard to find.
You'd think "film" or "movie" would bring it up, but nope.
Anyway.
Finally re-watched Trainspotting 2 tonight. Had planned to watch it soon after seeing at the cinema, and cannot believe that was 2017 !!
Its really really good. Still get a lump in my throat watching some of the references to the past in it. Brilliant stuff.
In cinemas? I’d like to see that oneEverything Everywhere all at once - excellent film, crazy in places but well worth a watch.
Yeah at the cinemas, although I’m based overseas. Looks like UK release is in a couple of weeks. Defo one to try and watch at the cinemaIn cinemas? I’d like to see that one
Yeah saw The Lighthouse a few months ago. What the fuck was that all about?Same here, thought The Vvitch was great but thought The Lighthouse was horrendous so a tricky one.

Average 6/10.
The Card Counter is fantastic. Paul Schrader’s recent efforts have been brilliant, see also First Reformed. The Card Counter (2021) Loved it. Slow moving. From the writer of Taxi Driver. Oscar Isaac. 9/10.
Sir Gawin & the Green Knight (2021) Much better than I expected 8.4/10.
If Schrader or David Mamet is your thing, House of Games [1987] is worth a look. The Card Counter is fantastic. Paul Schrader’s recent efforts have been brilliant, see also First Reformed.
They really pulled the rug with Emma Roberts in that one too.I love this film, Betty Gilpin and Hilary Swank having a hot fight 9/10
The Contractor was pretty goodThe Contractor - Was OK, filled the time, probably aimed at the US ex military lot, that they can become Jason Bourne or the like. 6.5/10
Cliffhanger - One of Sly's early 90's bests, maybe just nostalgia but still liked it, basically a troubled bloke in the mountains off'ing bad guys. 8/10
