Do something September time, maybe a motorbike trip to Spain .

Nowt booked. Had planned a few weeks in Dubai just to tick it off the list but that’s looking no go.

Did 3 nights in Valencia at the end of February. Nice city but maybe not in my top 3 for Spain.

Been there a few times with work including last week. We’ve done Barcelona and we picked Valencia for the direct flight we can get to Reus (then an hours drive). We’re actually doing 3 nights there then the last night in La Pineda in a nice hotel with a spa so looking forward to it

Sunderland for sixteen days in August and September. I wish more people knew about the place and came over. For about thirty years now I have felt like the only tourist in town.

Smaller airports (like Ponteland) more likely to be hit than the major hub which will be given priority by governments over any limited supply then airlines won't fly anywhere unless they are confident of being able to refuel for the flight back.

Kids and Mrs going to Paris and surrounds in may
La rochelle area for summer
I need to go to Jersey and ny and Geneva soon with work
Nowt else on radar for the moment. Looking at Albania in October.

Done weekend city breaks to Cologne, Krakow, Wroclaw and Poznan so far this year

Off to Kyrgyzstan/Uzbekistan for 2 weeks in a fortnight.

Baku/Istanbul for 4 days after.

Budapest for the F1 in July

Romania for a week on Monday, to be honest I may be looking forward more to the week I get on my own when I come back even though I’ll have to work. Wife’s staying there with the bairn.

Salou in June, re-booked from 2024

Then I’ve got time off in September earmarked for something we’ve narrowed down to two entirely different holidays. Either some all inclusive in Turkey or city break in Stockholm

That is very kind of you and a lovely thought, too. My dress sense, or lack of, gives me away though. And before I open my mouth as well. The one time I have felt the strongest that I was the only tourist in town was during Covid. I somehow managed to be back in the NE both years but the first year especially was a close call as I flew back home the day before the first lockdown kicked in. That was pretty lucky. Anyway, the days leading up to that everywhere seemed deserted and the feeling of being the only tourist in town was pretty strong. I honestly believe I probably was during those days.

To be fair, as much as I like many more people to know about the area, there is also a part of me that doesn't want too many people to know about it as well. I don't want to share my joy with too many other tourists. Selfish bassa that I am.

Australia, for 3 weeks, in September to visit the eldest.
Somewhere dog friendly in U.K. in the summer for a week, two if rates aren’t mental.

Mine are all fishing trips with a bunch of pals
May 2 weeks near Tain, easy access for Lairg for Trout fishing, 30 minutes to Brora for a go at the Salmon and Seatrout.
June 2 weeks up at Strath Oykel in Sutherland, fishing on the river for Salmon and loads of Lochs for Trout
2 weeks in July up at Brora with Salmon on the loch, Trout up at Kinbrace, Forsinard and Lairg
We are still looking for somewhere for the end of August, early September,
An outside chance I might go next week, depending on the weather.
I really should think of moving, what with the cost of fuel
I'll try to take my Mrs somewhere but she says she enjoys it more when I go alone

Was in Paphos for a week last week of March.
Got a motorbike tour of Spain n Portugal back end August with the lads.
Thailand booked Dec 28th

Will no doubt have city break or week away in between those.
