The ref (see PGMOL thread)

I haven't seen much different to that except at more distance. I wonder if he mouthed off at his initial booking and was warned.
Are you still sure he didn’t shout “that’s not a f***ing foul”? You did say we could all see it was more than that. I’m not so sure I can.

You're missing the point, whatever the refs motivations are is irrelevant.

You can't just apply the laws to one player and not the rest, that's not how it works.

It's impossible to has 100% consistency across the board. There are loads of little nuances to be taken in account. I don't think refs mind swearing bit how it's done can have a bearing on a decision

stop moaning you daft sods, last year a dodgy ref a sending off and a pen and you destroyed us . this year a sending off we murder you and it is the refs fault. double standards or what.
Last year's red card is not comparable. You must be dumb as to think otherwise.

The referee hasn't been impartial today, I think it's clear for all to see.

Whilst I will never discount any under handed bias. Nothing surprises me anymore. One thing I will say is that over the years iin the lower leagues I have noticed a fair few refferee teams (as I'm including the assistants)., always try and make a name for themselves as a hard cases willing to stand up to the naughty loud vociferous baying crowd. It's almost as if they are using us as a platform to further their careers. Wankers.

Tbf we are also seeing that trend all over the shop from dodgy opposition owners putting daft statements to wannabe hard men opposition fans fronting up when we rock up. Without wanting to sound arrogant in anyway, but to some people we are their Wemblies or Cup finals.

How we can combat this blatant form of taking advantage of our awesomeness? I'm not entirely sure.

listening to TM on the radio. He was not pleased. He said the referee had a chat and said he would show empathy towards the players

However, not only did the referee book dan neil for dissent, it also looked as though he booked Jack Clark as well. I saw Jack speaking to the lines and presumably asked why he was not awarded a free kick after being fouled. Jack walked away but the referee came racing towards him to show the yellow.

In the first half Jack was racing up the wing, their defender pulled him back. It was blatant. Jack shrugged it off and referee said play on. It came to nowt, but as pulling back players on the attack is a bookable offence, after ball went out of play, he should have went to go and book their full back.

The amount of times we were fouled and deliberately so, to break up our play and the ref did nothing to stop it.

The centre forward deliberately leant in with an elbow on ballards throat. That has to be deliberate dangerous play. Yet he or the linesman did nothing except book both players for the handbags

Fuck me. I give up

So from “he screamed abuse and waved his arms in the refs face”. To he did it but at a distance.

Now all we need to lose is the screaming abuse and waving arms in a face bit and you’re getting closer

Carry on though

Referee doesn't have the right attitude for football, if you can't manage people who are angry, irate or irritated you shouldn't be in football.

It's high passion and high stakes. If DN said something like "fuck off you massive ****" then fair.

But if as reported by sky he said "that's a f***ing foul" then the ref is absolutely in the wrong and should not be a referee.

He got a yellow for dissent. Can you say he didn't dissent? No

Jobsworth from the Gold Coast, demoted from the premier. Total nomark who is clearly miffed about his career going downhill at a rate of knots and takes it out on us. That said, we lacked composure, desperately needed Pritchard or somebody capable of winning a ferkin ball in midfield

Jumped up screaming... had built up anger from his earlier stupid mistakes
Don't be such a twat !
I bet you've said worse to your lass ,if you have one . The number of posters on here who love to jump all over a player on here is disgraceful . Must really piss you off that you have had to wait 10 games to have a reason to slay him off .
In the first half we were cruising at one stage had 64 % possession to their 36% , despite the ref letting Boro get away with foul after foul .
We fell away in the second half because we were a man short and had no defensive midfielder on the pitch . 3rd goal was a mile offside as well .

Nail on the head, football brings out adrenalin, which brings out various emotions, which in some people can lead to swearing... anyone with a football background or has even played football a handful of times knows this, a better ref calls O'Nien the captain to him and says he needs to calm down hes on a yellow.. job done.
