We know it’s down to the referee, most are just saying he had a shocking performance.

Jamie Vardy told the ref to fuck off twice then called him a c unt - right in front of him and with the camera focussed on him v Blackburn the other week - not a thing

Boro look a decent team and deserved it today tbh. The ref was poor but not enough to affect the result. Carrick had obviously done his homework and your lot were the better team. No complaints, could have been five or six.

I’m not quite as outraged at the ref as others. The second yellow for Neil if looked at in isolation was justified in line with tougher directives this year. I would say that it ws out of character with the rest of his performance where he was reluctant to give out yellows for deliberate shirt pulls etc. on balance I’m more annoyed at Neil than the ref for giving him a decision to make

Well done on your win today.
That’s doesn’t take away or detract from an inept refereeing performance. I was actually enjoying the fist half. The game could have went either way.
The ref choosing to ignore multiple fouls / yellows and making some bizarre point completely ruined what I thought was a good game of football.
It feels like he was told Neil’s first yellow should have been a red, and that was a factor in giving him the second yellow.
The inconsistency of his decision making throughout the game and particularly first half is what’s most infuriating, but it’s a theme we’ve seen many many times.
All that said, Neil is an idiot, for the first challenge which was reckless and then giving the ref the opportunity to send him off, which was mindless and it’s cost us the game.

And also - Mowbray completely messed the subs up. Rigg up front and Rusyn on the wing with 'auchoueeche' (or however its spelt) in the middle?
We looked like a team of what we are today - group of kids today with zero experience throughout the team and no plan b when down to 10

I've never seen a player foul so often and not get booked for persistent. Let alone that a couple of them in the first half were yellow worthy.

Ref was crap, particularly the inconsistencies with players being pulled back and allowing Crook to go unpunished, but Neil got a yellow for doing the very thing all clubs were told would result in yellow before the season started.
