    fuck sake.

Just watch one more time. This time with your eyes open.
I don’t need to - Jones was fouled and incorrectly received a yellow, Coburn did nothing other than challenge strongly for the ball in the air. He correctly received a yellow for the melee afterwards along with Ballard. Now if any of you can show a freeze frame of Coburn elbowing Ballard in the head, or him head butting a Sunderland player afterwards I’ll hold my hands up and say i was wrong. I guarantee nobody will be able to though because it simply didn’t happen, other than in your head.

I didn't see it live but I've just watched it back on the full 90 and it's an absolute obvious red card.

He literally didn't look at the ball or challenge anywhere near it and just led with his elbow into Ballard. It's a ridiculous challenge, complete stupidity as he made it completely obvious what he was doing. Both the ref and linesman should have had a good view of it.

Instead the incompetent ref gave 2 booking for handbags in the aftermath. f***ing useless twat.
The ref was too busy blowing his whistle to keep an eye on the ball.

Aye, loads of players deck refs, happens a few times a season in the professional game man. Like er Di Canio the thick end of 30 years ago.

Jones wasn't fouled at all!

He may have got the slightest of touches on the ball, he may have caught our player, he may have done both. It was very hard to tell. How the fuck is that a foul on him?

Idiot.

I saw it from the NE Corner and lost it before Ballard did.

He’d stoped reffing the game at that point. Don’t blow HT when the ball is being contested. It’s unsafe. A clear sign he wanted to just get in the changing room. So he wasn’t watching or concentrating.

Are you having a laugh? He clearly elbows Ballard. Challenge strongly man

It’s a shoulder charge - if it’s a clear elbow show us the evidence. There isn’t one still photo of Coburn elbowing Ballard - if he had show the evidence, you can’t because it didn’t happen. It’s really that simple. Repeating a lie over and over doesn’t suddenly make it become truth you know

🤡

Your player did a looping header towards Ballard and the ginger kid. Ballard was facing down the pitch, your lad was sideways on. He comes across Ballard and leads into him with his elbow with no attempt to play the ball as Ballard attacks and wins the the ball. It's a terrible challenge and worthy of a red card IMO as he's only ever going to injure a player doing that.

How the fuck is that or any aerial challenge ever a shoulder charge? A shoulder charge is when 2 players are side by side with the ball in front of them, usually on the deck. They lean into each other.

Seriously you haven't got a single clue what you're talking about 😂

He didnt because it has happened literally hundreds of times before with no consequences. Consequently he had every right to expect the same result.
He cant be blamed when a referee acts in a totally unprecedented way.
Surely you can accept that.
We don't even know what was said though. Dan Neil's version of what he said, probably isn't the full story. He was on a yellow card and was taking a risk. No one to blame but himself. Sorry.
I think the ref has made the wrong call but it doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks. Dan Neil unnecessarily gave him a decision to make.

As I said earlier. Not looking at the ball, not looking to jump for the challenge, just stuck his elbow into Ballard as he headed it away.

Ref and linesman totally oblivious 😐

Not sure which side of the halfway the line the lineman on the near side was but he should have been no more than about 30 yards from that incident with a totally clear view.

Obviously the ref can see Ballard foul the keeper, which he did, not looking at the ball, basically backing into him without much force. However, he can't see this.

The officials themselves told the SKY team what he said, they said so at the beginning of the second half.
Flabbergasted me that they proudly gave that as the reason.

I’ve shown you TWO videos of the elbow into Ballard’s face, are you f***ing kidding me

Log off man

This idiot needs banning. Clear as day it’s a straight red card. As been said Carricks reactions after the incident tell you all you need to know.

Hopefully the club are not going to take this.

We need to make sure this cheat of a referee never officiates our games again.

I'm a Middlesbrough fan and would be just as frustrated at the sending off if it was the other way around especially when you see in every game you watch on TV a player swearing and screaming at the ref. If football is going down that route it will end up 4v4 by the end of the game. Although you can't blame the ref for the performance of the second half from your lads I think with the young team and with the lack of experience in it you didn't know how to cope and sat back inviting us to press. Definitely wouldn't of been 0-4 if it was 11 v 11.
Personally would like to see us both go up and have 3 North East teams back in the Premier league.👍

Prove it then, if there’s a clear elbow show us a picture of it. I’ll wait ……
