The ref (see PGMOL thread)

My biggest issue is that you see players blatantly swearing at referees every week and go unpunished. This was built up as a huge fixture and he’s shown red for a bit of disrespect. Where was the yellow for persistent fouling or celebrating in front of our fans. Terrible refereeing performance

Or kicking the ball away (Greenwood) which is a mandatory card

Because it's very rare any managers do that unless they have no wiggle room and even then it's reluctantly
Plenty of managers come out and say you see them given or he’ll learn from it. There’s not a hint of that. Yet we have posters who are calling Neil and Mowbray liars

Name a player sent off for or against us for the same reason? I can’t think of any off the top of my head, certainly not in recent history.

Every player whinges at the ref. People blaming Neil are just being daft. Greenwood kicked the ball away after a foul in the first ten minutes, no booking. Then was booked later and then didn’t even get a yellow for an awful challenge on Seelt.

Dan Neil isn’t the problem here. It’s the officiating and the inconsistency.

If the ref produces a yellow on the words “that’s a f***ing foul”, then we’ll have 5 sendings off a game. It’s an absolute joke of a decision.

No.
Neil should have kept his f***ing gob shut.
Harsh, but neebody to blame for him getting a second yellow but himself.
It's done, he'll learn, and he won't do it again.
Why didn’t he send greenwood off?

And course he will do it again like EVERY other player,

In his face shouting and waving his arms? Pipe down man. Here’s what really happened

Look at where the ref goes for the card… The ref was absolutely itching
He was shouting something and waving his arms. Enough for the ref to say dissent.

Well, he was in his face and shouting whilst waving his arms. He may have already been warned. Apparently, in the Sky coverage, it was said that he had warned both teams prior to the game that he wouldn't tolerate dissent. Dan was an idiot, after a borderline red, which he got a yellow for, he is in the refs face.
Neil was no where near him. Definitely not “in his face“.
