The reaction to the game

People are far more reactive nowadays, it’s down to social media etc.

Years ago you’d have to have a whinge like this in person or owa the phone and by that point people had cooled off.

Plus you just had proper gadgies back then who didn’t piss the bed because their team didn’t win a game.
I’d agree, I’ve said for years, I long for the footy Echo days when you read the report, at home when you were a kid, then in the pub when you were older.

You had a whinge and got on with your night.

Mind not sure about “proper “gadgies” some of us were girls 😜

And it took more effort to write a letter to the Football Echo😂

I think most of the bed wetting is done by those who have probably been giving it the big one to mags at work etc.

If they'd lost the reaction from some would have been very different..

I can understand the reaction to our recent form, given we've shown what we are capable of, but man, this place after a loss or a draw (with 10 men away from home) against a relegated side is a reminder that there are times to turn off the wifi and find a good book.

Is it a coincidence that once we reach safety our heads go?

Safely into the top6 then nothing till the play-offs
Reached the magic 40 points and safety then nothing after again.

Were we bad like? Been watching a different game to me.

Keep 11 men on the pitch and we coast that.

Give ower.
This 100%. No way do we not win with 11 men on the pitxh. Thought the lads put a shift in but 2 things bother me. Why did we start with Hume in the hybrid role. He did nothing - its not his position. And second why did we employ such a low block at the start of the second half after doing ok in the first/ We just invited them on and they obliged, we were so much better when we started to press high up

I get we have been bad the last few games but do people remember where we were and how long we were there for? I wasn’t around on here for the Howard Wilkinson or mic Mac days, was everyone as knee jerk and reactive then? Some mental comments on here today
We have been "bad" for about ten minutes of the last few games. The rest of the time we have played like any other mid-table team. Managed to fight back at Villa and almost nicked it and almost won it today (and would have if we were at full strength). As I posted elsewhere, we have the same number of points in 2026 as Villa and Chelsea but unfortunately, expectations have evolved....
