The Rafa Miracle

They are not annual liabilities - they were a one off loss outside normal course of business. As for where the money has come from - check out the balance sheet, SD has in excess of £360m of cash (ITS ON THE LINK I SENT YOU). He does not have personally a vast amount of liquid cash but SD does.

MA only owns 53% of SD he is not buying HoF out of his own cash. If he was buying it out of his own money he would literally be gifting me (as a 0.002% shareholder ) £1,800. Why would he do that

I know, but they were applicable for that year. That’s what I was saying tbf and was questioning why the £217m was being quoted instead.

Point taken on the £360m cash at bank. Apologies, my mistake and I got that completely wrong but there are still questions on Newcastle which is obviously another matter that won’t be made clear until the next accounts are filed.

As i've said before MA is not 'milking NUFC but he brings a lot of these things on himself, he does blur the lines between his different companies. He should pay for advertising at nufc from SD. He should charge interest on his loans/investment in NUFC from himself. He should not use SD (a PLC) as a punt around vehicle on all his fancy deals - it should be a focused retailer.

But there is no avoiding the fact that he has put money into NUFC - £150m.

Mike stopped the bisto mate,he’s got them on Asda own brand. Not untasty but hard to get the lumps out.

On a side note the Facebook mags are melting down saying that he’s spent the transfer budget on house of Fraser
House of Ashley or Direct Sport House?

As we all know Rafa pulled off a miracle getting nufc promoted. It is clearly ridiculous the Mags dont spend the same or more than Burnley for example. The problem with this is fans only look at 'fees. The following are wages from the year end summer 2017 when nufc were in the Championship.

Team Wages

Leicester £113m PL and CL
Nufc £112m Championship
Everton £105m PL
Swansea £99m PL
Stoke £85m PL
Bournmouth £72m PL
Burnley £61m PL
Brighton £28m Championship
Huddersfield £23m Championship

Think about that Rafa in the Championship had a higher wage bill than Everton in the PL and was spending £80m a year more than teams coming up from the Championship. His wage bill was almost identical to a squad who had just won the PL and was competing in the CL.

Mike Ashley has a club with the 7th biggest crowds in England, with the 8th biggest wage bill who finished 10th in the PL
Have you just realised this...

Whilst I hate the Mags as much as the next man, if Short had bought some high street chain for £90m last season, this place would have imploded.

I’m sure there are sensible mags (?) out there who understand Mike Ashley’s money isn’t their money, but the internet gives the village idiots out there the same platform as the rest of us. And their village has more than its fair share.
