According to Express and The Sun, Paris Saint-Germain president and director of Qatar Sports Investments Nasser al-Khelaifi was in talk with the Leeds United owners in Doha, Qatar to discuss a potential takeover of the club, but reportedly deal is off.

Qatar Sports Investments are strongly interested to takeover another English team from the Championship and reportedly, they want Blackburn Rovers football club.

The billionaire Nasser al-Khelaifi will meet V H Group to discuss a potential Blackburn Rovers takeover in a few weeks. V H Group bought Blackburn Rovers under the name of Venky’s London Limited in 2010 and it’s believed, if Nasser al-Khelaifi matches their price, they will consider to sell the club.

Once a Premier League winner, Blackburn finished 15th in the Championship this season and struggle to gain a top flight promotion. Following the takeover by Qatari Sports Investments, it would provide a massive boost to Blackburn’s finances and also give the opportunity for PSG to loan out their young players in the Championship.

Reportedly, Nottingham Forest are also considered by as an alternative club and QSI will try to push Leeds United deal again.

We would be a much better bet. These lot know how to run a club and would have us up first time of asking. Its crazy to be put off by us being in league 1, if thats the case.

If I was a man of unlimited wealth looking for a football club as a toy to play real life Football Manager, I'd want a club with no history or tradition but in an area with a large catchment area. Basically build a club up from absolutely nowhere. Be much more satisfying to win trophies with Bath City than Leeds imo like.

I won’t believe it’s us until I read about it on Twitter, due to some company being registered on Companies House as ‘Cheesy Chips on Wembley Way inc’.
