The premiere league's the place to be...

We'll win games again, we'll have more fun as supporters. That's literally what football is all about and what we all should be looking forward to.

This relegation has been so inevitable I couldn't give a fuck we've gone down.

This for me too. No one really wanted to be embarrassed in the way we have and be relegated and in theory we all want to play at the highest level. But season after season optimism has quickly been drained out of us when we go to October/November before we record our first league win. We've been knocking on the door gradually getting worse for years and the apathy around the club goes back even further.

There's only been one season we weren't safe before the last day. There's a lot of exaggeration when it comes to how close we've been to relegation in the past.

The way people go on you would think a last minute goal kept us up on goal difference every season.

Agree with the sentiment. On the one hand its great to be in the big league, but the constant kicks in the teeth and blind panic every year wears you down.

Im almost excited for a mid table finish with a good few wins next year

You're sort of missing the point for me like. It's been poor, and getting worse, for about 5 seasons now. We may well have been safe before the last day, but does that make our time in the top flight a success? Not for me.

I remember it being completely the opposite this time last year after our rafagation.

To be fair though, you lot didn't have a 4 year slow death where it looked like relegation every time.

Some Sunderland fans are genuinely bored of it.

We've been pretty much constant in the last five years. We've either got 38 or 39 points for the last four seasons so not getting better or worse. This season has seen a total collapse.

They've been in relegation battles in the seasons leading up to their relegation.

This. Even secured survival on the last day in 2014/15.

Make no mistake Sima, this has been a nightmare season for Sunderland and behind our keyboards, we're all sick as fuck. At least Newcastle not relegating us is the only silver lining. That must have f***ing hurt last season marra

Aye, but constantly poor, I'm literally f***ing drained from watching us the last few year. There's no guarantee we'll be any better next season but we couldn't be any worse.

A week after relegation and yes no one wanted to see us relegated but apart from the odd great result and customary drubbing of the mags, who can genuinely say they have enjoyed our stay in top league?
For me it just comes as a relief that now we can try and rebuild from a clean slate and start again.
its been mainly shite, though i'd have preferred to stay up.

I did up until PDC was appointed. Since then there was the great escape and Wembley which I loved (didn't even enjoy my trip to Wembley THAT much as I was ill and couldn't drink ) but by and large it's been shite.

If we come straight back up and get our finances in order then relegation will have been no bad thing and next season will probably be quite enjoyable.

The terrible fear is that with Ellis and Moyes steering the ship we will linger lower to mid table. Our finances will get worse and we'll stagnate in the Championship.
And then from there, well you've seen what's happened to Blackburn.
