My dad was the police officer covering Rockcliffe for a while in the 2000s so had a friendly relationship with the staff and players during that time. To a man the staff all said he was the most talented player they worked with ( on a side note all said Southgate was the best trainer and professional).

I don’t want to be libellous so won’t go in to detail but Woodgate isn’t a nice bloke and was a well known teenager in Nunthirpe growing up…

My ex was a barmaid in The Southern Cross while he was supposed to be playing for Real Madrid. She didn't like him one bit.

For what its worth i think we will be ok .its going to be hard we all know that but we are no worse than the other 2 that came up and not that far away frim the likes of Wolves ,West Ham imo

One I can say as it’s in the public domain is he used to go to the Majestyk in Leeds on student nights and him and a few other scrotes from nunthorpe used to play a game where they would deliberately walk into someone carrying a drink and use it as an excuse to pile in on them.

Guarantee you were one of the ones who thought thwre was no chance at all we’d beat Coventry in the semis let alone get promoted , in fact loads did tbh , have a bit faith course we can stay up

If the betting markets got everything right, bookies would cease to exist.

We will definitely be up against it, but I'm not writing us off just yet.

One thing I noticed fromn the 3 years Villa were away in 2016-19 was that all prem teams, even those at the bottom had at least one player that could cause you damage. They were all more athletic and physical too. This is one of the big things that catch sides out when they come up because the promoted teams rarely have that one top player.

I think you'll massively struggle unfortunately. Admittedly I have seen very little of you but you and Burnley I think will go straight back down, Brentford may struggle if they sell Mbeumo and Wissa, and Leeds are also likely to struggle. Wolves have sold their two best players so it depends on their recruitment also. But that's the sea I think you'll be swimming on. Everyone else will be too strong over the season for you.

VAR's the biggest thing.

Stylistically, Pep was already here, and the style of football had filtered down the leagues anyway...

It's a great first game for my kids.

We may get beat but I don't see us not scoring early, which will be tremendous.

Just got to tell my wife we're starting our family holiday a day later now :lol:
