For a while when Ward started presenting I thought he was Nick Knight. Long time since I'd seen him on telly

Bit harsh. A lot of them can’t travel because of Covid restrictions on them or their family/where they live. This summer will very much be a ‘one off’ so can’t judge just yet for me. I’m just glad there’s cricket!

I think the problem is that Botham and Gower were giants of the game for 15 years or so, as players.
Key, Knight and Ward played a lot less tests in their careers and because of that they can 'talk the talk', but didn't 'walk the walk'.
Therefore what they say is more like speculative chit-chat and banter rather than having been there and done it.
They are ok for T20 etc, but not that good for Tests.
However, we have to move on and they are probably a much cheaper option for Sky - something that won't be passed on to the viewers.
