The Morning After The Night Before

Choosing to play Hume at left back was utter lunacy from RLB when you've got Reinildo and even Cirkin sat on the bench, he should never start there in the PL unless it's just to fill in as a last resort.

That's not in hindsight either I said it before the game
 

the back line look disorganised and weak.

way too much faffing about, and the keeper looks off form. that does not excuse the rest of the team, that's when you need the leaders in the side to get a grip of the team as a whole and volley the ones fkng up, think Keane on the pitch.

somewhere (this is not about last night) we have changed fundamentals. maybe it's just being leggy, maybe apathy has set in, or maybe as I suspect it's linked to changes in coaching staff.

either way we look able to ship goals and then not able to work out why. I think there will be a lot of changes after the season ends, we look a lot less now than when we were fresh into the big league. to be fair that's massively Sunderland, always has been, but that's what the owner needs to change. I think he will.

Lets give them a bit credit they were faster out of the blocks than us. MGW, Anderson and Hutchinson were way ahead of us for ground covered and spotting problems. What got me was three of the goals were all too similar with a long ball to the back post nearly everytime and we still did not react to it . 3 men free to head back into the box. The other thing was putting Roeufs into a situation where was on his weaker foot for the second goal. A bad night at the office marra.
