Collier and Clark come over as buffoons and they were replaced by Harrison and Graves then Watmore. Until we replace the board who appointed them nothing is going to improve.
 
Watching it now. The ECB come across as being incredibly naive.

More like incredibly greedy. I'll bet there was a sweetener offered to them to play this match. I'll also bet it was in the form of one of those bank certificates which proved to be worthless.
 
I remember an article in The Times about it. There was a photo of the 20 Million Dollars piled on top of a table with a few commentators and Stanford standing looking at the money.
The look of absolute disdain on Botham's face was priceless.
 
Johnathan Agnew comes across as some sort outraged victorian dowager with an attack of the vapours, but its an enthralling watch , especially how it all unravels.
First perp to throw the other under the bus gets 5 years or summat, next bloke who did exactly the same...out in 120 yrs or so
I remember watching the match..England were bloody abysmal
