Very good day for everyone who works at The House Of Fraser. They were heading for admin. Him buying it is the best they could have hoped for.

Nothing whatever to do with that lot, although it's true many of them will work up a pointless lather about it all, egged on by grandstanding politicians and badly informed talking idiots on TV and radio.

I’d still be wary if I worked there , I know there was a recovery plan which meant about 30 shops were to close , but Ashley is a ruthless businessman and I can see him cutting more jobs if it means profits rise further. Theres also a rumour of a HOF/Debenhams merger which will mean even more closures.

Be great if Ashley goes down the renaming the stadium route again.

I don’t get it, even when short owned us I didn’t expect him to put every penny of his own money into us for buying new players etc. Why do they expect Ashley to do so, he’s a business man guess what he’s going to use his money to buy up other businesses etc doesn’t mean he should spend that £90m on a famusssss number nine.

He’s not even using his number to by HoF. It’s Sports Direct buying it.
