Sure it was mentioned in a thread the other day about us enquiring or after a player from them on loan? This isn't me saying I know who it is or owt as I'm certainly not itk. Just read something saying its possibly Matt Ritchie. Can't see it myself and think he'll want to be back down south, but thought I'd add that to the rumour threads. Personally I'm past this "we can't take their cast offs" stage. He's a good player for our level and would add something to the squad. It won't be true I'd imagine but would certainly have him here for a season.

Forgive me, I don't follow footy particularly these days but what about Stokoe, Shackleton, Moncur, Robson, Waddle, Alan Kennedy....and probably tons more. All that lot played for Newcastle before playing/managing Sunderland.
