The Hundred 2024

So the 'have nots' receive 2.5% of the revenues, while the 'haves' get that 2.5% plus 51% of a franchise. And I assume that solidifies the farce in the calender, to the detriment of the sport as a whole.

This really has been a hateful, spiteful, sport destroying venture, right from day 1.

I think I'm coming to the end of my love for cricket, you can keep your basic bitch version of the game.

They stiched Durham up right from the start. Yorkshire and Hamshire Chairman on the ECB, the fine alone was enough, then demoted. Then ignored for a so called franchise.
They more or less ruined the T20 Blast which was an excellent comp.

Handy this thread was started in January

Would never of known otherwise
Strange how it’s meant to be our biggest white ball comp but doesn’t seem to get promoted that much. Also, strange how few followers it has on social media. Even the MBODC has more followers on twitter.

Also seem to have a knack of advertising matches as having ‘limited tickets remaining’, then you go on the site only to see there’s seats left in all areas of the ground.

Yeh,you would almost think that they were trying to mislead the public about its popularity.

Someone will know but did our Ollie Robinson get selected?
Yeah playing for Marcus Norths Yorkshire side along with Parky, Clark and Stokes. Would have been Carse too if not for his ban.

Below is what I assume we will be choosing from for one day cup. I've no idea on the fitness of those additional guys at 10.

Lees
Jones
Borthwick
Ackermann
McKinney
De Leede
Mustard
Raine
Coughlin
Bushnell/Killeen/Hogg/Robinson/Gibson/McAlindon/Brassell/Glover
Drissell

Certainly agree with that selection but I'd use Raine very sparingly if at all.
Nevertheless, it's ridiculous that Ben hasn't got a Hundred contract

they'll bowl 20 balls in a warm up

and im still unsure how Woody hasnt got a contract, World cup winner, and only last season he was in the IPL too, unless his focus is moving away from short format and keeping him fit for tests

Yeah if that term was being attached to Ben Stokes and his knackered knee, fair enough. But if a 25 year old can’t manage the odd hundred balls at the height of summer his workload isn’t worth managing as he’ll never be fit enough.

It's bonkers. I remember they were doing this in April, Carse one of them yet he was on as 12th man for Durham  . Absolutely crazy and a massive pet hate of mine now with the game.
