Coming home to roost the folly of giving the peak summer months to the 100 as the test lads are five down at lunch on the first day of the test

theyve simply had no preparation to take on the number one test side, as no red ball has been played in the championship

stokes and bairstow have had zero cricket in five weeks of peak summer

While I agree, this was happening way before the 100. Plus the daft shots are a result of a stated change in mindset, which were still happening in May/ June when they’d had a bit of red ball practise.

I don’t think the 100 helps our test play but I’m not sure it can be blamed for the shit shots today that have been happening all summer.

I understand this but todays performance is down to zero preparation at home for a test series

No red ball for five weeks as there has been simply no fixtures to play

The 100 has stopped all championship cricket and therefore no practice

Stokes and bairstow have had zero games to play in for five peak weeks of the summer

That is wrong

I agree it’s wrong mate, totally. But I’m saying that they were doing this on first innings in June too when there had been red ball practise.

And in the years prior to the 100 too.

This is a long term thing but yes, the 100 won’t help it.

Five weeks of peak summer the captain and senior player have done nothing

That’s just wrong and today it’s showing
 
Was just going to post and say whether brining Hales in for out of form Roy is the most sensible move, the he gets out as I'm typing
 
Wish they’d just stick with the best commentators throughout, some absolutely awful ones chucked in there.

Lydia Greenway is so difficult to listen to, constantly smacking her lips before she says anything.

Similar here when I met bumble around CLS. I called him Mr Lloyd . We shared a hatred of vuvuzelas, it was around the time of the footy World Cup in South Africa
