The Great Conspiracy

My pals answer to your comment “
I would argue that us going down brings more attention to all football rather than us being a crap
Midtable team. We will be the biggest story all season until we come back if we do go down. It’s a bigger win for the PL.”
Decent of them to fall on their sword.

When your team’s down the bottom nothing ever seems to go right for you. I speak from great experience, all the calls seem to go the wrong way, you never get any luck. But in fact by the end of the season clubs are all where they deserve to be according to their performances. Including Spurs.

They lost a lot of football fans respect when they tried to cling on to the elite clubs coat tails for a place in the super league.

Beyond embarrassing for a club who just doesn't win anything

Should probably get a grip. It's just the way things are when you're in a relegation battle; everything feels amplified as fuck. When they were challenging for Europe they'd have the same bad decisions go against them, but because they had a handful of other chances to score (and likely won most of the games they had bad decisions go against them) they just weren't that bothered about a singular referee decision as it didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

If anything, it shows how arrogant they are to think that bad decisions and bad results only happen to them, and it has to be somebody else's fault.

Been sent this by a Spurs supporting mate. “Our fans have compiled a 15 minute video on all the bad calls. Someone said the first half or so are all shaky. Ticky tacky could happen to any team But the last half. When we started falling into deep trouble. Are absolutely brutal. You just shake your head and say how could they? It’s what I believe. It’s not some grand conspiracy. But it is the story taking over. Refs other fans journalists. They all want us to go down because it’s a better story. Refs are human too. And people still talk about that liveroool goal that happened 2 and a half years ago. I know this sounds like sour grapes. We deserve to be in trouble. But we don’t deserve to be screwed time and time again and that’s what is happening”
A lot of the decisions probably weren't given because it's Spurs players falling over and acting like fannies.

That Enzo one should have been a red but tons of the rest are "gamesmanship" (cheating) by their own players looking for fouls.

More from my Spurs mate. “ 4 penalties in last 100 games. When the average has been 15. That fact alone is pretty damning about the refs. That can’t be just random “ 😩😩
You have to be in the oppositions penalty box to get a penalty😂

Until it’s mathematically impossible I’m still harbouring a faint hope that they stay up if it means the mags go down
Brighton winning tomorrow is a bad result for us mind. As was Bournemouth the other week.

Wanting the Mags to go down more than us getting into Europe isn't for me like.

I’d love to have the time to make shit like that, and if I did I definitely wouldn’t use it to make shit like that.

Won a trophy last season in fairness.

I realise the Super League was prior to that...

I didn’t say I wanted it more did I?
Of course I’d love to see us qualify for a European spot 💁.
I’d take them finishing second if it meant we won the league also but that doesn’t take away the amusement value of them still being in contention for relegation right now

I didn't say you did, just talking in general.

Lots on were buzzing after Bournemouth beat them even though it put them above us.

I hope Forest and West Ham both put 10 past the Mags. I'd take a draw in the game for them tomorrow but Mags winning might be the better result for us.

Then if we can't finish above Fulham on final day of the season I hope Fulham put 10 past them too.

You can’t get many penalties when the balls whizzing around your own box for 90% of the game.
