The golf thing

How?

What’s wrong with playing golf?
Why are you getting angry they play golf

Its so so weird

Performances are good, we are 2nd in the world

Ridiculous this like sorry
I’m not angry they play golf? I don’t mind. I just think it would be common sense for the boss to avoid being interviewed on a golf course when there’s a lot of negative chat around them being more focused on golf. It avoids him adding fuel to the fire.

I’m struggling to see where I’ve gave the impression I’m angry and that I think there’s an issue playing golf.

And any rational person can see that the quips on here are tongue in cheek and not to be taken literally.
I refer you to McCullum's comments#20 on this thread and you might just see that self confidence can easily come over as arrogance.
This perceived arrogance invites criticism albeit in the form of quips about golf. Supporters are the hand that feeds them, handsomely.
Yeah McCullum has to be a diplomat to a certain extent in his role as does Stokes.

When in reality they will both by dying to say, what you all twisting about FFS.

We play a hobby in our down time and are extremely professional and hard working ob the pitch.

And have turned round the fortunes of English test cricket both in terms of results and entertainment

Go find something to twist about!!

Imo it only adds fuel to to fire to people (not you) who are looking to twist about fuck all and of something not important in the slightest

I just don’t get why there is any negative chat at all around them playing some golf on your

The whole thing is really weird and screams of people desperate to criticize them for absolutely anything

I just don’t get it

Absolutely!

I genuinely think if it’s wasn’t golf some fans would find something else to twist about!!

It’s not relevant not even in the slightest to how they play cricket!

This is a cricket forum after all!

It’s utter nonsense you making a issue out of nothing because people like twisting
Psychologist are you?
Supporters have a right to be critical of a perceived arrogance in refusing to adapt their approach to suit circumstances. Supporters are ultimately the reason why these cricketers have lucrative central contracts but they're not allowed to comment on perceived shortcomings?
Their own coach has been critical of their attitude in the media.I assume you haven't acknowledged that because it doesn't suit your agenda?

Crawley looking good. Looks like the driving range is paying dividends

In all seriousness, there's nothing wrong with having a bit of a moan. It's what we do as cricket fans! I love it, as long as it doesn't get too negative. I don't see the problem.

Like I say he has to be diplomatic in his role, when I imagine he will be thinking the twisty fuckers

I think it’s all relative mate you had Sunderland fans twisting even though we finished 4th after been 16th last season and you have cricket fans moaning more than praising of a side that’s super entertaining and won 22 out of 35 tests after winning 1 in 17.

Each to their own I suppose but if a sporting side is winning a lot more games than losing yiu would think the praise would far outweigh the twists??

I don’t see that with this England side

If twisting about fans twisting keeps you happy they everyone's happy. Utopia.

I think it’s straightforward for me if a team is losing more games than winning you expect more twisting than praising.

Where as if a team is winning a lot more than losing you would expect more praise than twisting

I think that’s logical??

But this board with both Sunderland and England bucks that logical trend at times;)

ECB want a culture of winning and not playing golf all the time. Looks like golf will be reduced massively
I'll give it a couple of months and either the ECB cower and relent, or "Baz" takes his dirty feet off whatever table is in front of him, throws a tantrum and resigns.

The latter is glorious. Sunlit utopia.
The former is a frightful thought.
