The Cricketer magazine

Decent enough read. Don't subscribe but buy individual issues now and then.

County Championship matters is a good one if you're looking for a cheap quarterly read. Think it's £12 a year

Yeah I subscribe, enjoy it when I read it but find it quite dry. Really enjoyed the Gower & gooch lunch chat and the Warne tributes recently. Don't tend to read it all but pass it on to my dad who reads every word but would never spend that much a month on himself. Still pissed off though with an article a couple of years ago about South African players at Durham having a braai by the Tyne. I complained that they were clearly stupid despite public school education as the flipping River Wear was yards from the ground. Huw turberville emailed me back with a limp apology about rhymes or some shite. Actually, after typing that and realising how annoyed the article made me, I've cancelled my annual subscription now:D

I've considered it. Currently subscribe to the cricket paper but that doesn't run year round and I think. My newsagents are rubbish at keeping track as I've yet to get a copy delivered this season

The Nightwatchman (cricket equivalent of The Blizzard) is a high brow read for a tenner if anyone wants niche stuff.

The Cricketer is great for a fiver though.
If you fancy a bit of niche try simon hughes cricverse

he sends an email every now and again which he is dressed in a Durham top from his days, pictured at CLS

he chats to you as well. There’s around 350 odd who get his emails
