If you like flowers and a nice garden I'd recommend hidcote gardens national trust property, it's just stunning and a really nice place to walk around, take a packed lunch and have it overlooking the rolling hills at the back where the benches are

Couldn’t be arsed going abroad this year so me and the other half are going to the cotswolds for 5 days later this month

Chipping Camden, the Slaughters and Lacock all worth visiting..
As mentioned Bourton gets packed...bonniest for me waa Castle Combe....did a road trip round the area last September

Mrs K grew up in Chipping Norton for a few years back in the 1970s. Surprisingly she didn’t make the list of Notable People on the Chipping Norton Wiki page.

Would highly recommend an absolutely beautiful area.
Stayed in Bourton a few years ago really loved it.
All the villages are picture postcard.
Visited Broadway and Chipping Camden had a couple of pints in a pub in Stow on the Wold claiming to be the oldest in England something like 947AD!
Couldn’t get parked in the Slaughters as there was a huge BBC film crew there filming Emma.
I suppose the whole area is what foreigners would think as typically English.

Aye marra, I work in the cotswolds nearly every day, some beautiful little towns and villages.
Nee beaches though.

Going to Stratford ,Broadway ,bourton,stow on the wold and moreton on the marsh
Don’t have to worry about driving as we have booked it through national holidays
Only 240 pound each,not bad

Have a drive to Bibury if you want to see Arlington Row

There’s some really nice walks around Bibury, we’re hoping to get over there over the Summer a it’s only an hour away. It can get very busy with coach loads of tourists.
