The Continued Demise of TMS

I still enjoy it. Agnew used to get on my nerves, but he’s matured now and better for it

Just listened to the interview with the Joe Mangle character (sounded like a very sound fair minded bloke) and heard the story about Brian Johnston ringing John Paul Getty to discuss Neighbours

Can remember Johnners would talk about Neighbours on air occasionally!

Used to love listening to him, although CMJ was the gold standard for me.

Agnew really went down in my estimation a few years back, he was very agressive to Jonathan Liew who was my mate at Uni cos he rightly called him out for some uninformed and Ill advised race chat. He seems pretty self rightous.

That aside TMS is still great. Maxwell, Isha, Cook and ERB are all worth price of admission.

I think Tuffers is quite knowledgeable on cricket stuff when it comes down to it, but doesn't take himself too seriously. Always has a good anecdote too. Pick of the bunch for me.

It's a shame that ERB will be replaced by Alex Hartley at some point I assume as she's a much better summarizer with the added bonus of not sounding like someone who's been taking helium.

Is Glenn McGrath or Stuart Clark joining them at any point this summer?

Listened to it today for first time in a while and it was still enjoyable

Still shits all over talksport
I love it still. I think Alistair Cook is a great addition and I don’t mind the female commentator. Jim maxwell is class. Dizzy isn’t my cup of tea but I enjoyed it yesterday.

Actually prefer it to sky. Though I do like to hear Mark Taylor on, Athers been my favourite for years.

Good to flick between the two.

Forgot about Tuffers. I just like the general chat they have, especially him and aggers.

I still enjoy it but they seem to focus purely on ex players now, rather than broadcasters

Used to be more a mix didnt it? thinking of CMJ, I know Vic Marks was an excellent cricketer but he is on more for his broadcastin skills
Showing my age here but for years it was all broadcasters and the only ex players were 'The Boil' and Fiery Fred.

I must admit it was slightly annoying listening to it at lunch after I’d missed the morning session. Didn’t hear anything about what happened in the morning sessions and was dedicated entirely to the upcoming women’s series.

No problem with promoting the women’s game but I think a bit of a summation about the morning session of the game they’re covering would be canny

Talk that they’re getting rid of Vic Marks now.

It’s already a pile of steaming horseshit for 50% of the time, there’s going to be no decent staff left. I expect they’ll move Aggers aside for Greg James next.
He retired to become local commentator for Somerset on BBC.

Guess the test he has is during non county championship games.
