The club is dead.

The club has been mismanaged from top to bottom since short took over, millions wasted and we are now seeing the result from this shambles, every manager and directors of football or whatever you want to call them should hang there heads in shame along with the crap they have brought to the club

It's a shame really, everything is in place to be a top club it's just we don't have the right owner to take it forward. Short has made mistake after mistake, it would be interesting to know where we would have ended up if we had an owner who knew what he was doing, obviously we'll never know. The club is finished, will take many years to put right.
What at all in is place to be a top club? Nothing whatsoever is ran correctly. Name me one thing the club do that is on par with a well ran business?

I love that club but they break my heart, continually.

There is literally nothing about it any more. Even in the early 90s we seemed to be in it together. Now, it just seems to be sitting aside and watching it rot.
I try and be glib and gloss over it. But deep down, I love this club, I've shed tears over them, I've got stressed about them, they're mine and always will be. The current situation is horrific.

Does anyone think we should be a top club? We are nowhere near a second rate one at present.

I don't think he is. Its dying a slow death and theres fuck all the fans can do about it.
You are correct and all sensible folk saw it coming last season.
Very, very sad state of affairs.

There's nothing over dramatic about that, some people have invested decades in this shambles of a club.
I am one of them and it saddens me to see the club in this state, even worse than the Division three season I fear.

All of the infrastructure is there, it could have been so much different if we had an owner who knew what he was doing.

let's face it. we are all pissed off right now and none of us can see anything improving until (at least) short sells but the saddest thing i am seeing is fans arguing like feck with each other trivial things, the club (OUR club) is showing all the signs of giving up with an owner who only cares about getting as much of his money back as he possibly can...the stupid part is that had he invested some money in players the club would already be looking like a good investment to potential buyers, as it is he has done so much 'on the cheap' this season he will be lucky to find a buyer.

not dead yet but slowly dying and it is bloody horrible to watch.

What infrastructure? A barn in a field? 12 pitches or just the same farmers fields that were used in the 80s? A ticket office with no trained staff and a stadium that’s falling to bits?

Don't you think a lot of his mistakes have been the supporter's wishes?i.e.managers we have wanted, and he had given them lots of money to spend on players. Yet they have spunked it up the wall on utter garbage which we will still be paying for in many years to come. He is not entirely to blame for this shit, although he has more to lose than any of us.

The trouble is he hasn't been giving the budget required to keep up with the quality needed when in the Prem. Giving small budgets in drips and drabs over the years adds up yes but it doesn't buy you quality. He's been doing it on a shoe string budget for years and it's caught up with him. When past players contracts were up, the likes of Gardner, Larrson, these players should have been replaced with quality, instead we bring Bridcutt and Buckley because that's all we could afford on a small budget.
