The club is dead.

Because there are a number of players in it that have played in the prem most of their careers.

Jones
Oviedo
Wilson
Cattermole
Mcmanaman
Mcgeady (some big clubs)
Rodwell
Gibson

That's why I think it's better than it currently sits.

Fair do's. If Sunderland put them up for sale in January, how many in your opinion would interest a Prem team?

A shambles of a club, really pissed me off today. Kiosk closed in the south stand, stewards taking the short out flag off some younguns, smithy strutting round the south stand. Just Fuck off.

Stewards took the short out flag?
That's why we don't protest we're not allowed to;)

Had enough. I'll go back if we put a run together and start playing well. Until then I've got better things to do with my life.

Yes really, we will still be a championship side.

Don't put your house on it, frankly we are a car crash and sinking more and more, look at the league table it does not lie. It's embarrasing and an insult to a team that was in the premier for 10 years

Why do people keep saying this happy clapper shite. It's called supporting the team. The team is poor but what do you expect spending 1.3 mill on 10 players!!! It's not dying a death

And there were no American tanks in the background either :)

It's tempting to imagine that The Club is currently "licking it's wounds", saving money left, right and centre to clear debt so that when this process is complete it will rise from the ashes phoenix-like and reboot a bright new future. Unfortunately if the wounds are licked for too long and we get relegated again, I fear we may go the way of Portsmouth, Wigan, Blackpool, Charlton, all former Prem clubs who find themselves in Div 1.

The problem will only be resolved when Short finally admits that he's cocked the job up completely. He can do this by dropping his asking price for the sale of the club. He wants out, we want him out, there would be interest in The Club. He's a businessman and must surely recognise that not every deal he does will be a winner. It's time for him to take a loss.

Squad is still better than ours though, aye?

You keep on believing that son, the reality is there's a cancer spread throughout the club, financially, on the playing side and worst of all the soulless apathetic atmosphere in the stadium which is a result of the first two aforementioned problems.

Like I said over dramatic, cancer spread throughout!!! Massively over dramatic

What I am sad about is the club has lost its connection to the fans. Always kept in the dark and I feel like they don't give a toss. Far cry from when Quinn was in charge with the fans forums etc. At least he had the balls to face the fans.
