Old news in a way Hank, we've known that for a couple of days, by my reckoning the 48 hours is up today, so I'm off to the gym and when I come out I expect he's holding his scarf above his head on safc.com
you'll be having a 10 hour workout then?

What I can gather he's already up here so fingers crossed ;)

2 is me limit so I'm not going to be happy

Aye here's hoping it will be later today
if i have the time difference right I'd estimate the main parties wont even be out of their beds 2 hrs from now

The fact that they keep cutting jobs?

Print media is generally on it's arse. Regional print media is even more on it's arse

I'm not sure why a link helps prove this.

This hardly answers the question, how do you know this?

It's getting desperate now like. I've seen Mags saying Colback is a better signing because he was free.

At the moment he is. You have no way of knowing whether Rodwell we play regularly or mirror his turnout record at Man City.

On potential however Rodwell is streets ahead. Time will tell.

Ryder is a journalist in name only, therefore his opinion / scribblings hold no more weight than those of us on here imho.

So lets get this right:

They sign a player = they turned SAFC down
We sign a player = they didnt want them

The Chronicle reads more like a fanzine than a Newspaper. How can editors let this shit go to print??

Because it panders to the fat pasty eating masses of north tyneside

Not obsessed though.

Its very common for a player's agent to put feelers out to other clubs. Any good agent would to try and get a bidding war going. But only from Newcastle do you ever see the need to justify them passing on a player that their local rivals have signed. You never see it between Man Utd and Liverpool or Arsenal and Spurs etc.

Some of their fans have a real complex about us. It's really quite extraordinary.

you are right
on paper rodwell is a far better player ! as an safc fan I just hope he can stay injury free and be a big player for us. it's a HUGE gamble by the club, but I applauded them for taking the risk ! we could have a superb midfielder on our hands, or an expensive crock
I hope it's it's former.........

Which Newcastle fans are in control of the editorial policy at the Chronicle??

Chronicle print a non-story having a snide pop at SAFC, you respond by having a snide pop at NUFC fans....... who has the complex?

To be fair to Ryder, the article is probably correct. After all why would Newcastle need Rodwell when they have Jack Colback and Ben Arfa?

Colback was a squad player for us and would not have been first choice this season, Ben Arfa ... Thought they had given up on the lazy so and so.
