The BBL draft

Kick in the nuts for the Bash as the IPL flexes it's muscle once again.

We could end up with so many franchise tournaments that there will be more overlaps. The Indian owned ones likely to take precedence. Good luck to the ICC sorting it out if it happens.

Hilarious that they paid Faf and Russell to lead their marketing campaign then neither player got picked as they're going to play in other tournaments

Feels like another step towards the end of cricket as we know it. IPL owners now run the Saffers tournament, wouldn't be too much of a reach for them to take over the CPL.

Already got fingers in pies. Trinidad, Barbados and St Lucia teams owned by them. Shame as I used to like the names they used to give themselves to reflect the islands. Zouks, Red Steel etc. Just the Jamaica Tallawahs left now with a name synonymous with the region.

Barbados Royals ffs. They've just recently binned off the royals man

Didn't know that, thought the Barbados team were still the Tridents.

Throw in the 16.4 and change it to a T20 format, and you've then got 4 tournaments across the world. There's your circuit, players playing for the same owners across the four tournaments.

Watched loads of the windies women's 60.

Was good. Quick and 45 minutes allotted time not like t20 these days.

2 hours an innings is killing it.

Bigger crowds than for test matches over there.

How long before we see this?

Experiment went well I thought.
