The atmosphere today at the sol

That match against Chelsea back in 2016 will take some beating - the noise when Borini and Defoe, inside 4 minutes, overturned a 2-1 deficit, the noise towards the end as the crowd realised that lot up the road (our closest rivals for the drop) were not going to get anything more than a point at an already relegated Villa. However, concerning Sunday, absolutely nothing beat the buzz and excitement created by the sheer volume of fans out and about early in the city centre. And that sunshine !
One of the best games I’ve ever been to. Absolutely amazing to be a part of and witness. The whole stadium was on the same page of backing the team till the end.
Not a single person left, not an empty seat in the house. When it really matters, the crowd are there.

Probably one of the best performances I've seen in years aswell.

We were teeing off on them all game.
I've seen so many Sunderland teams over the years fall flat on their faces when the moment has been built up.

This team is different gravy though. No danger of a damp squib yesterday. It felt like it was on from the get go.
I've corrected it. You know the type. Turn up for the derby n boxing day.

Would love to believe that you can hear that noise today around the houses of Roker Park ( I kna I’m a soft owld git -but would love it if someone was walking the dog and could hear the roar ?)
I also think about those who were once with us on this journey many many moons ago well before our last European short lived cameo -and hope they know !
That was for you marras !
What a club and what a journey! There’s a special connection this time ?
HTLs and thank you Regis
Definitely can. Depends on the weather. I've heard the Sol from the driving range in Fulwell next to the greyhound stadium. Probably further still.

There's really no other place like the SoL when it's at full tilt like that. Everyone contributed, young, old, men, women, the lot.

Let's not forget the players either. They helped make it memorable. Never stopped running. In that heat would have been absolute torture.

Force of will by everyone at the club got us over the line yesterday. Hats off to everyone!

Never heard of fizzing and thought there was a bloke in a vest 😁

Die hard fan. Arms in the air and standing up for every song. Letting everyone kna he knows the words etc. Only time he's been there all season.

Fizzing - foaming - fuming, etc....
Me old boss used to say foaming and we'd laugh at him . He was a geordie defected to Pelton. Never heard fizzing . Sounds like buzzing ,happy .
To be fair even us miserable old timers were singing and stuff Sunday. Even standing up to clap for subs .
Know what you mean though, someone would show up from nowhere , give it the big cum ons etc .. then gone at half time
